Today we visit a traditional Korean market in Pyeongchang, where the Winter Olympics will be held. You'll see fresh produce, medicinal goods and various food at Jinbu Market. It is open on select days and is pop-up style.
The vendors were so friendly that we didn't want to leave despite how chilly the weather was! At the time we filmed this video, the market was filled with locals. Not many foreigners. In fact, we were the only apparent tourists! Come February 2018 and beyond, that might change. We eat various street food and local treats, including:
+ Memil Jeonbyeong (Rolled Pancakes with Buckwheat Noodles)
+ Memil Jeon (Buckwheat Pancake)
+ Susu bukkumi (Millet Pancake)
+ Ppeongtwigi (Crispy Plate-shaped Puffed Cereal Snack)
+ Bungeoppang (Fish-shaped Bread filled with red bean paste)
+ Kkwabaeggi (Twisted Korean Donuts)
