Songkran, otherwise known as the Water Splashing Festival, is a traditional celebration that’s as important to the Thai people as the Lunar New Year is to the Chinese. After a three-year hiatus, two Songkran festivities in Hong Kong made a splash once again at Kowloon City #HappySongkranFestival and Lai Chi Kok #SongkranHK2023, that enable locals to experience the festive atmosphere, take part in water fights, and receive Songkran blessings.
