Matt Stafford became the highest paid player in NFL history and while the jokes were quick, especially in regards to Stafford’s 0-3 Playoffs record, the market reset at the QB position two times this offseason. The first was Derek Carr signing his contract extension with the Oakland Raiders. The promising young QB led an explosive offense in Oakland last season before an injury derailed their season. Stafford reset that price once again, which means in 2018, when Rodgers, Ryan and Brees are open for an extension…the QB universe will balance itself out.
