The North America Soccer League saw one of the oddest transfer requests submitted successfully in Soccer history. The Fort Lauderdale Strikers traded Walter Restrepo to San Antonio Scorpions for what was labeled "a transfer fee." What was the fee, exactly? Free hotel and transportation services for the Strikers when they visit Texas. Seriously. We feel for Walter Restrepo - you're worth more than a few hotel rooms brother!
