What it feels like to be Irish in Las Vagas on St. Patrick's Day 2016. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) turned Las Vegas’ iconic Welcome sign green in partnership with Tourism Ireland’s “Global Greening Initiative,” which coincides with St. Patrick’s Day. Other iconic landmarks participating include The Pyramids of Giza, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janiero, among others. On hand were local politicians and dignitaries, including Honorary Consul of Ireland Terry Murphy, and Irish nationals employed by Rí Rá Irish Pub at Mandalay Bay.
