Portugal, Leicester City and the Cleveland Cavaliers all pulled off remarkable championship wins during the first half of 2016. Portugal were not the favorites to win the EUROS, however, Cristiano Ronaldo and company took down France with a 1-0 victory in the final, on the leg of Eder, who belted home a beauty from distance. Leicester City were battling relegation at the end of the 2015-2016 Premier League season, but they made for one of the greatest Cinderella stories of all time after capturing Premier League glory behind the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyah Mahrez. LeBron James and the Cavs were no match for the 73-win Golden State Warriors, and faced a 3-1 series deficit. The Cavs rallied behind LeBron and Kyrie Irving to bring Cleveland it’s first title in 52 years.
