The Carolina Panthers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 49-15 in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday. The rout was on in similar fashion to the first half against the Seahawks for Carolina, as Cam Newton marched his team down the field to a quick 17-0 lead in the first quarter. The superstars for Arizona came up short as Patrick Peterson muffed a punt return, Carson Palmer threw four interceptions and Larry Fitzgerald was bogged down by the Panthers defense. The Panthers came out with as much hunger in the second half, racking up 49 total points in the victory.
