Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin allegedly broke his right hand punching a member of the team's equipment staff during an argument. According to the sources, Griffin and the equipment staffer got into an argument in a restaurant during the team's trip to Toronto. Griffin hit him, then chased the man outside to hit him again.
The injury is expected to keep Griffin out 4-6 weeks, and is the latest setback for the Clippers, unless you believe they are better without him [they have gone 11-3].
Clippers coach Doc Rivers said at practice Tuesday morning that the team would issue a statement on the situation before its game against the Pacers on Tuesday night. A source told Shelburne that the NBA is investigating the incident and Griffin could face league discipline.
