The Los Angeles Clippers were one of the active teams during the 2016 NBA Trade Deadline, but it was Lance Stephenson who was sent away, not Blake Griffin. Amongst the many rumors, Blake Griffin was a piece that the Clippers were open to offering, especially after the Nuggets turned down a four player trade for the former No. 1 overall pick. Instead, the Clippers official twitter account posted a photo of Griffin with the equipment staffer he punched in the face with the #Family attached to it. The internet responded to the tweet in legendary fashion, sarcastically mocking some of the biggest beefs in NBA history with #Family.
As for the trade deadline itself, it was much quieter compared to last season. Amongst some of the names moved, Jeff Green, Lance Stephenson, Donatas Motiejunas, Tobias Harris, Channing Frye and Randy Foye were the most notable.
