The NHL Trade Deadline of 2014 has come and gone with many stars being moved from dud teams to playoff contenders. All in all there were 15 deals, the lowest amount in the last seven years. Names that were moved: Thomas Vanek traded from the New York Islanders to the Montreal Canadiens. Martin St. Louis from the Tampa Bay Lightning for Ryan Callahan of the New York Rangers. Jaroslav Halak traded to the Washington Capitals. The Los Angeles Kings trading for Marian Gaborik. Roberto Luongo traded back to the Florida Panthers, which in turn sent Tim Thomas to the Dallas Stars. Dustin Penner traded from the Anaheim Ducks to the Washington Capitals.
