Colin Kaepernick has been sitting during the National Anthem during each of the first three preseason NFL games, and following the third game, the press asked why. Kaepernick stated in a press conference that he is a voice for those who don’t have the same platform as he does and that he won’t stand for a flag that stands for oppression of certain races. Athletes across the NFL took to social media to express their stance for or against the 49ers backup QB as the situation became a big conversation over the weekend.
