Match fixing was a major problem that hit Serie A not long ago, and Juventus saw a deserving penalty for the issues in the mid-2000’s. Recently, Barcelona B, second division Spanish club and junior to FC Barcelona, handed Eldense a 12-0 loss. Eldense is being investigated for match fixing.
"An Eldense player came forward and told local media that the fix was in after the loss, which pushed the club into the relegation zone with no chance of escape. Cheikh Saad said four of his teammates were involved in the scheme but refused to name them."
