Kobe Bryant sent out a tweet long after the immediate reaction to Ronda Rousey’s :48 loss to Amanda Nunes took the internet by storm. Bryant claimed that people should give her a standing ovation rather than clapping for her defeat after she put women’s MMA on the map. Rousey’s rise to stardom was one of the biggest storylines for a two year period, especially after claiming three straight victories in under one minute, similar to how Nunes came out the gate and bludgeoned Rousey to a standing TKO at UFC 207.
