It's our last day in Seoul, South Korea! We walk around Seongbukdong (성북동), a neighborhood home to historical buildings and embassies. Among the wealthy households lies a Buddhist temple that was once a restaurant owned by a gisaeng. I take Mommy Oh to one of my favorite places in Korea: a traditional tea house where writer Lee Tae Jun once lived. After warming up with wintery treats, we continue exploring and eventually make it to Samcheongdong (a wonderful place to walk and shop) where we end the day with bibimbap and other Korean munchies :)
This vlog closes the curtain on everything we filmed during winter. Next week we begin the summer vlog series!
List of featured places in order:
+ Gilsang Temple (길상사) - Where the 300 year old tree lives
+ Suyeonsanbang (수연산방) - Hanok turned into tea house
+ Manhae Han Yongun Simujang (만해 한용운 심우장) - Residence of Korean poet and independence activist
+ Bokjeong Shikdang (복정식당) - Dinner with tasty kimchi
