ONSTAGE K _ Cho Duck-hwan & The Train Heading to the World(세계로 가는 기차)

Deulgukhwa is undoubtedly one of the greatest and most influential rock bands in the history of Korean music. The band's first guitarist Cho Deok-hwan, the man behind many of the band's biggest hits, left the team upon releasing the first album, however, in 2011, he returned to the music industry after a break of 30years, showing off his presence and undying passion for music. Let's find more about this legend on this edition of ONSTAGE K.
Cho Deok-hwan is the first guitarist of Deulgukhwa and the composer of the songs "The Train Heading Toward the World," "Bless You" and "Till the Morning Breaks" featured on the band's first album, "March," one of the greatest Korean albums of all time. After pursuing a short career as a musician as a member of Deulgukhwa, Cho left for the U.S. and then came back to Korean in 2009 to pursue his musical career again. Beginning with is solo album, "Long Way Home," Cho Deok-hwan has been inspiring both young and old since his return.

그러나 대중의 기억 속에서 사라졌던 초대 기타리스트. 이름마저 낯설어진 그 이름 조덕환. 찰나의 영광과도 같은 짧은 들국화 활동 후 20여년 동안 음악인이 아닌 생활인으로 살던 그는 2011년 다시 우리곁으로 돌아왔다. 그리도 여전히 식지 않는 음악열정과 저력을 보여주고 있다. 긴 휴식 뒤에 다시 행진을 시작한 조덕환을 온스테이지케이에서 만나본다
음악역사상 100대 명반에 손꼽히는 1985년 발표한 들국화 1집 [행진]의 수록곡 '세계로 가는 기차' '축복합니다' '아침이 밝아올때까지'를 작곡한 초대 기타리스트이다 짧은 활동 후 미국으로 이민을 떠난 그는 20년 넘게 소식을 들려주지 않았다 그러던 2009년귀국,2011년 첫 솔로앨범 Long Way Home을 발표하며 현재까지 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다.
