2015 Stanley Cup Champion Patrick Kane has come under investigation for sexual assault after a night spent celebrating in a Buffalo night club. The Blackhawks winger was stripped of the NHL 16 cover by EA Sports after news broke of the alleged sexual assault, even though no charges have officially been brought up on Kane just yet. The story that was broke by multiple news sources has conflicting reports as to what exactly happened on the night of the alleged assault and one source in particular, The Buffalo News, seems to be at fault for victim blaming and misrepresenting the facts after being called out by both Deadspin and USA Today. Kane’s lawyer has even gone as far as to replying to Facebook comments regarding the incident.
