Angel Di Maria had a tough year at Manchester United last year. He didn’t fit in with Louis Van Gaal, the fans at Old Trafford didn’t love him, and he underperformed on the pitch, all of which ultimately led to a move to PSG. However, now Angel Di Maria is thriving again, proving why he is one of the best players in the world, and PSG is thriving along with him. Today the Parisians destroyed Malmo 5-0 as Di Maria netted two goals.
With such a dominant performance so far in the Champions League, is it time to ask if PSG might be the team to give frontrunners Barcelona and Bayern a run for their money? Or is this just one game, and Di Maria, Silva, Zlatan, Cavani, and David Luiz have to prove themselves against tougher competition in order to be taken seriously.
