The San Diego Chargers vs Kansas City Chiefs 2013 matchup fell right into place for Mike McCoy's club, beating the 2nd string Chiefs 27-24. Two plays that went in the Chargers favor that in retrospect should have never counted was Ryan Succop's missed field goal. The Chargers ILLEGALLY lined up more than 6 players on one side of the ball. Succop missed and the Chargers forced overtime. From there on their own 27 yard line on 4th down, Mike McCoy called a fake field goal, which Eric Weddle got. Again, former head of officiating Mike Periera said the play should not have resulted as it did, rather Weddle's fumble should have counted and the Chiefs should have had possession of the ball. Jeff Triplett and the other officials failed to make note and San Diego went on to kick a field goal and win.
