The Kansas City Chiefs routed the Houston Texans 30-0 in Saturday’s AFC Wild Card playoff game. The Chiefs defense wrecked havoc on Texans QB Brian Hoyer and held them without a point in the dominant road win. Alex Smith played an efficient game and ran the play action to near perfection, completing 8-of-9 passes in that set and hooking up with TE Travis Kelce, who racked up 73 yards after the catch. The Chiefs secondary behind the likes of Eric Berry pulled in four interceptions on Hoyer, although most of which were not difficult passes to pick off. Kansas City will meet the New England Patriots in the AFC Divisional Playoffs next weekend.
