The Thunder lost Kevin Durant to free agency, and the major blow to the franchise leaves GM Sam Presti in an interesting position. They currently have Russell Westbrook, an all-NBA first team player at their disposal, and they definitely don’t want him to leave in free agency without getting anything in return in 2017. The Lakers and Celtics are the clear frontrunners to make a trade for Westbrook, and also have the pieces that would make for a good deal on the Thunder’s end.
