The New York Knicks fired head coach Derek Fisher only 18 months into his five year contract, and decided to part ways after losing nine of their last ten games (now lost 10-of-11 after falling to the Washington Wizards at home on Tuesday). Kurt Rambis was named interim head coach of the Knicks, while Phil Jackson took to social media to state that it was not easy letting go of his ex-player Fisher. Speculation started brewing immediately, with one report from Sports Illustrated saying that Jackson might go back to Los Angeles to work with the Lakers and others stating that he would stay in New York and hire a new coach to run his famed triangle offense. Of all the candidates, ex-Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman said to TMZ Sports that he would be interested in coaching.
