We’re beginning our show this week with two musicians audiences will have seen in our studio before: the brothers Roger and Henry Chung. As a duo, they’ve previously been known for the Christianity-inspired music, but with their new CD "Edge, they’ve decided to head in another direction and focus on social issues.

If you’re feeling like taking a look around Hong Kong’s galleries this week. We have two very different shows for you. At the Galerie Perrotin, “Forest of Illusions”, curated by William Zhoa, features three artists from greater China: Hong Kong’s Tsang Kin-Wah, Hangzhou-born artist Cheng Ran, and Taiwanese artist Yang Yi Shiang all examining issues of romance. At White Cube, Los Angeles artist Mark Bradford finds most of his inspiration and many of his materials, in cities. The new works on show in this exhibition are about Hong Kong and aim to explore structures of power and politics through the lens of urban planning.

At the Macau Museum of Art until 7th September you can see an exhibition of 12 great painting masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay, Château de Versailles, Musée du Louvre and Centre Pompidou. The exhibition marks two celebrations: the 15th anniversary of the Macau museum itself and the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between France and the People’s Republic of China. The paintings on show range from 1530 to 1963, and although not all the artists are equally well known they all encourage us to consider various aspects of French life and French history.

Finally this week, you’ve seen Hong Kong-born but New York-based singer Mara Measor in our studio twice before. Just a few weeks ago you saw guitarist Teriver Cheung. Well, Mara’s back in town for the summer and she and Teriver have been joining forces. As they are doing now, in our studio talking to Ben Tse..
