The Kevin Durant rumor mill is churning and as we approach the all-star break we are entering a period in which speculation and rumors will surround the most coveted free agent since LeBron James. Durant is currently meshing well with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he and teammate Russell Westbrook make up two of the top 10 players in the league, arguably top 5. The Thunder own the third best record in the Western Conference, trailing only the Warriors and the Spurs. But what if Kevin Durant tests free agency, and what if he signs with the Golden State Warriors. Yahoo Sports Adrian Wojnarowski surfaced the first credible source as to what might be going on with Durant’s future:
“The Warriors already have everything and yet they’re threatening to take more now. Steph Curry. Klay Thompson. Draymond Green. Committed ownership. Bob Myers, the executive of the year. Steve Kerr, a championship coach. Yes, Golden State has everything, including the ability to create the salary-cap space and a belief that Durant’s persona could fit seamlessly – even onto a potential two-time defending champion.”
