Kevin Durant will be the subject of fan hatred for the rest of his career, but seperating his decision to leave for the Warriors and just focusing on what it is that he wanted, it begs the question if his decision would be validated with a Warriors win. Durant and Westbrook, along with the Thunder who he played nine seasons with, were one win away from heading back to the NBA Finals (once in 2012), but let go of a 3-1 lead in 2016. With a Finals win, Durant would get the ring he seeks so badly, but will it be validated?
