Asan Chung Ju-yung, a tiger in the field who built a lot of first roads

Asan won a contract to build high way in Thailand in the competition with 16 companies of developed countries.

He finished first construction abroad with our own technology, even though there were difficult times due to lack of experience along with first overseas expansion.

After this followed expansions to all parts of the world. In 1968, Hyundai Engineering & Construction began construction of Gyeongbu highway and it built the highway as long as 428km from Seoul to Busan with mechanization only in 2 years and 5 months, which was the world’s shortest construction time.

Asan built a lot of first roads. Let’s listen to two ‘road’ stories of Asan who used to be known as a tiger in the field.
