Brett Gardner's new contract is...

New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner has signed an extension with the club that many saw as surprising given the recent acquisition of former Boston Red Sox player Jacoby Ellsbury. Gardner, 30, signed on to a four-year contract extension worth $50 million, with a club option for a fifth year. Is this the right move or wrong move considering the Yankees are loaded in the outfield?
