Sunday marked a benchmark for the 2016 MLB season, as Jose Bautista was on the wrong side of a devastating right hook, thrown by Rangers Rougned Odor. History is important to this buildup, especially when we rewind to the 2015 ALDS between these two clubs. Bautista stood at home plate and admired a home run that broke a tie in all important playoff series, one that saw the Blue Jays make it to the ALCS. After throwing his bat in crazy fashion, the Rangers did not forget that moment. Fast forward to Sunday, Matt Bush is on the mound and pegs Bautista, a couple of plays later and Bautista slides hard into second base. Odor did not like that, so Odor got heated and clocked Bautista. Benches cleared, more punches were thrown, and now we await the array of fines and suspensions that are sure to come the Rangers and Blue Jays way.
TL;DR: Baseball is becoming fun again.
