Last Sunday the Hong Kong Army Cadets Association was inaugurated. Its official aim is to make Hong Kong's youngsters "aware of their responsibilities and obligations as Chinese citizens". WIth us in the studio to talk about the impact of setting up such association is commentator Ching Cheung.

The controversy arose over articles discussing self-determination and self-reliance for Hong Kong. Housing was supposed to be the core issue raised in the Policy Address. Out of the goodness of his heart no doubt, the Chairman of Henderson Land, Lee Shau-kee has said he’d like to help by giving away the land currently occupied by the Tai Hang Sai Estate. He plans to use it to build 5,000 flats for low income young people to buy. The estate’s current tenants are not so thrilled.
