Beethoven has had a profound impact on the world, earning him the title of "maestro of the classical music realm." By listening to his works, one can sense his unwavering determination and gain a positive outlook on life.

In this joint production by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Radio Television Hong Kong, 32 virtuoso pianists take you on a journey to meet Beethoven with piano.

In this episode, the following works have been selected for the audience's enjoyment:
- Piano Sonata No. 28 in A, Op. 101, 1st movement: Etwas lebhaft und mit der innigsten Empfindung and 2nd movement: Lebhaft. Marschmäßig (Cheung-yu Mo)
- Piano Sonata No. 31 in A flat, Op. 110, 1st movement: Moderato cantabile molto espressivo and 2nd movement: Allegro molto (Rachel Cheung)


Cheung-yu Mo is a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Juilliard School in New York. He serves as a piano instructor at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has won numerous awards, including the first prize in the Ohio State Piano Competition of the Music Teachers National Association, the Oberlin Concerto Competition, and the Arthur Dann Piano Competition.

Rachel Cheung, in 2017, became the first Hong Kong pianist to reach the finals of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and received the Audience Award. In 2019, she was honoured as the Artist of the Year (Music) by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. She has collaborated with major orchestras and performed solo recitals at prestigious music halls worldwide. Her artistic pursuits have taken her to various parts of the world.
