Musician Joyce Cheung shares her experiences studying in Spain, where she encountered the biggest setback of her life. Despite her refined appearance, Joyce enjoys binge-watching TV shows and doing household chores, making her the epitome of a girl next door. In this episode, she performs her favorite music pieces on the Electone.
Joyce started her classical music training at a young age. At 16, she earned a piano diploma from the Royal College of Music and a cello diploma from Trinity College London . She simultaneously studied piano performance and electronic composition at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Joyce received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music , majoring in film scoring and contemporary writing and production , and graduated with honor in 2014. During her three years at Berklee, she received several scholarships, including the Robert Share Award , the Berklee Music Preparation Award , and the Berklee Piano Department Scholarship .
