Driven by her perseverance, Rachel Cheung has achieved remarkable accomplishments in her musical journey. Her daily routine sheds light on her discipline: she practices the piano for at least 4 hours and insists on working out for 1 hour. A dedicated animal lover, she follows a pescatarian diet and shares snippets of her life with her dog, Choppy.

In this episode, besides delivering classic pieces from Chopin and Bach, Rachel also presents a song by a French composer.

Rachel Cheung, a local pianist, graduated with first class honours from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She later earned her master’s degree from the Yale School of Music in the United States. Notably, she received the esteemed Elizabeth Parisot Prize for outstanding pianists from Yale University. Advancing to the finals of the 15th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition , she made history as the first Hong Kong pianist to reach this stage and clinched the Audience Award .
