Canelo Alvarez knocked out Amir Khan in the later stages of the sixth round on HBO PPV, and it was a knockout that sent a strong message to Gennady “GGG” Golovkin. The Kazakh boxer was ringside for the fight and looked to be cheery after Alvarez looked at GGG after the fight and said “come get it”. Boxing fans have wanted to see the two power punchers step into the ring together for some time. As for the fight itself, Amir Khan’s speed was on full display and seemed to frustrate Alvarez through the first five rounds, but once Alvarez figured out his speed and closed the ring, he was able to bait Khan into dropping his shoulder.
