ONSTAGE K _ Maluihan & Ddunoya(마릐한 & 뜨노야)

Maluihan is a psychedelic rock band strongly influenced by Korean ethnological sounds and rhythm. With these rather unfamiliar elements, their music fully captures a distinct Korean groove and provides a fantastic auditory experience. Strange yet wonderful, let's get a glimpse of their musical imagery.
Hae-ghil was initially a member of the psychedelic rock band Bunabi. Then he began his career as a solo artist through his one-man band Maluihan , which later became a duo once he teamed up with drummer Russell Moore. The two produce Korean folk sounds with Western instruments and revive what we've missed in their own way rather than just following trends. This band is surely paving the way for both Korean rock and folk music.
기타는 거문고가 되었다 해금이 되기도 하고 드럼은 장구가 되었다 북이 되었다 꽹과리가 되기도 한다.바로 밴드 마릐한의 음악이다. 서양의 악기로 한국의, 정확히 민요의 리듬을 따라가는 마릐한의 음악은 그만의 독특한 한국적 그루브를 완성해내고 있다. 익숙한 듯 전혀 익숙하지 않은, 되려 너무 낯설고 새로운 밴드 마릐한 음악으로 현명한 사람이 되고 싶은 마릐한이 만들어내는 소리와 리듬에 함께 빠져들어보자.
사이키델릭 록을 연주하는 3인조 록밴드'부나비'였던 해길(마릐한)은 밴드가 아닌 마릐한의 솔로 프로젝트로 발전해 자신이 하고 싶었던 음악을 실현해 가던 중 즉흥음악 라이브시리즈 '불가사리' 공연을 보러왔다 해길(마릐한)의 음악에 매료된 드러머 러셀무어와 함께 밴드를 결성한다. 때에 따라 플룻, 장구등의 협연을 통해 한국적인, 보다 토속적인 리듬을 접목시켜 현대적으로 해석한 자신의 독자적인 세계관을 만들어가고 있다.
