ONSTAGE K _ The Monotones(더 모노톤즈) & Zero

Guitarist Cha Seung-woo, also known as the idol of the Korean indie scene and a former member of the top bands No Brain and the Moonshiners, formed a new band in 2012, announcing the birth of a new leader of the Korean indie scene. That was the beginning of The Monotones, but the band's vocalist changed several times and even the bassist left the team. However, Cha Seung-woo didn't give up. He endured all the hardships for a long 3 years and finally released the debut album, "Into the Night," with drummer Choi Wook-no and vocalist Hun Joe.
The Monotones is a trio comprised of guitarist and leader Cha Seung-woo, drummer Choi Wook-no and vocalist Hun Joe. They released the debut album, "Into the Night," 3 years after their formation, impressing both the public and critics with their aggressive, gentle, sophisticated yet romantic sounds.
노브레인, 문샤이너스를 거치며 이미 완성된 기타리스트로 인정받은 홍대 인디씬의 아이돌 차승우! 그의 새로운 밴드 결성 소식은 인디씬의 기대를 모으기 충분했다 하지만 계속된 멤버의 이탈로 밴드는 위기를 맞이했다 하지만 결성초기 함께한 드러머 최욱노, 11번째로 영입한 보컬 훈조와 함께 드디어 더 모노톤즈의 첫 정규앨범이 3년만에 발표했는데... 오랜 부침을 겪으며 더욱 단단해진, 그리고 더욱 폭발력을 장착한 밴드 더 모노톤즈와 만나본다.
2012년 결성, 멤버들의 수차례에 이어진 탈퇴 끝에 현재 차승우(기타), 최욱노(드럼), 훈 조(보컬)로 그 모습을 갖춘 3인조 밴드이다. 결성 3년만인 지난해 말 첫 앨범 [Into The Night]을 발표. '의식의 흐름대로' 만든 곡들이라는 차승우의 말대로 어느 한 장르에 가두지않고 다양한 스타일로 지금까지의 차승위 음악을 집대성한 앨범이라는 좋은 평가를 받고 있다.
