Sweden's national men's hockey team put up a dazzling performance in a 4-2 win over the Czech Republic in the Sochi Olympics. Without the services of Johan Franzen and Henrik Sedin the Swedes still pressed and goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 27 saves. The Czechs meanwhile are a hard-to-grasp bunch. Jiri Hudler, Radim Vrbata and Roman Polak were not selected to be on the team while Winnipeg Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec did not start, instea head coach Alois Hadamczik went with the KHL's Jakub Kovar.
