Built during the Southern Song dynasty, Tin Hau Temple in Joss House Bay, Sai Kung, is the oldest and largest temple dedicated to Tin Hau in Hong Kong. Devotees flock here on the goddess’s birthday every year to pay respect to her and to perform the folk ritual of “Fumbling on the Dragon Bed” in Tin Hau’s bedroom in hopes of bringing babies to the family, as well as obtaining health and wealth. Our presenter will also experience this traditional custom firsthand.
