Cheung Shing Street in Yuen Long Kau Hui is lined with historical buildings and is therefore also known as “Manchu Street”. Two ancient temples can be found on this short stretch of road alone: Tai Wong Temple and Yuen Kwan Yi Tai Temple. They were the go-to places for conflict resolution whenever disputes arose between residents of the old market.
A large-scale festival is also held in the area once every 10 years. We’ll be finding out more about the colourful celebrations.
