The Golden State Warriors dominated the San Antonio Spurs 120-90 at Oracle Arena on Monday in the first of four regular season matchups between the NBA’s two best teams. Both teams are undefeated on their home courts, and that stayed true for the Warriors as Stephen Curry led the way with 37 points. Kawhi Leonard was switched to guard Steph Curry in the second quarter, and the reigning MVP got the better of the reigning defensive player of the year. The Spurs were without Tim Duncan (knee), but were overmatched and outpaced throughout the matchup. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich joked after the game in an interview, stating that he was happy his general manager was not around, or he might have been fired. It was an obvious shot at Cavaliers head coach David Blatt, who was fired by the Cavs on Friday.
