Awarded the Bronze Award of the Japan International MANGA Award in 2019, Hong Kong comic artist MARK Tin-kit has had a very unique career path: for more than thirty years, he was placing himself between high art and popular art, as he has been teaching and creating Western paintings, while also working part-time as a comic artist. He has mastered all skills to draw comics, and he is one of the few comic artists who are capable to create, produce and publish a comic book by themselves. Through his strong and valorous drawing style and mercurial main characters, MARK has walked a different path from the others during the decades of development of Hong Kong comics.
