Shrimp paste is one of Tai O’s special products. Ever since ancient times, the people of #TaiO have been producing #ShrimpPaste by drying their shrimp catches under the sun and grinding them with stone mills. To this day, some still handmake it in the traditional way to retain the #savoury taste, #aroma and freshness. A restaurant in Tai O even incorporate shrimp paste into a novel recipe to make Husband Roll. There is also steamed rice with local specialties in bamboo steamer, which elevates the taste to a new level. In this episode, we shall sample the different flavours of shrimp paste.
